This magnificent sunrise clip is a key part of Clip Pack #312, a massive collection focused on the ground-level perspective of this rare cloud inversion event.
The full pack offers an extensive 115 clips and over 1 hour 55 minutes of stable 4K UHD tripod footage. It documents the entire day-to-night cycle from Y Foel Goch, including exceptionally long clips (up to 22 minutes) ideal for custom timelapses or long background plates. The collection captures the rare Brocken Spectre, dramatic sunrise and sunset colours, and intimate, model-released moments of the camp.
This collection offers 1 hour, 55 minutes, 31 seconds of unparalleled 4K UHD landscape footage captured on tripods from high up on Y Foel Goch in the Glyderau range of Snowdonia Natioanl Park. This pack is the visual proof of a two-year wait for the perfect conditions: a dramatic cloud inversion where low cloud sits all around below the summits, engulfing the Ogwen Valley and Snowdonia beyond, while the peaks rise into clear skies above.
This pack features 115 clips focused on creating mood, majesty, and realism. It includes a couple of extremely long clips, such as an awe-inspiring 22-minute morning shot of Tryfan and a 7-minute dawn scene, designed to showcase the majestic scale of the scene and allow for custom timelapsing at any speed.
The footage documents the full journey: starting in the wet, cloudy, and foggy Ogwen Valley with wet foliage, grass, and trails, before breaking through the cloud layer. Highlights include a majestic cloud bow arcing into the cloudy blue sky, the iconic Tryfan summit appearing like a shark fin in a sea of cloud, and the distant summits of Snowdon, Crib Goch, and Y Lliwedd visible as isolated islands. The pack also captures a Brocken Spectre, where the sun projects an enlarged shadow of the observer onto the mist, and beautiful shots of me setting up camp and cooking noodles, all fully model released.

The perspective is captured high up on Y Foel Goch at the edge of the Glyderau range. Below, a majestic sea of clouds whirls like a bowl of soup, with the rugged mountains protruding like isolated islands. The drone captures this scene across the day:
Iconic Peaks: The summits of Tryfan (917m), Glyder Fach (994m), Carnedd Dafydd (1044m), Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m), and Pen yr Ole Wen (978m) are all visible above the cloud layer. The Snowdon Massif (including Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, Crib Goch, and Y Lliwedd) completes the background.
Cinematic Motion: The low shots capture the top of the cloud layer, emphasising the cloud whipping up like cotton wool or whipped cream, while high views provide crucial establishing shots.
The Best View: The way Tryfan emerges from the cloud at dusk is something you have to see to believe—arguably the best drone shots of Tryfan ever captured.

Clip Pack #215 - Snowdon Winter Sunrise Stock Footage
This pack captures a moment of "absolute epicness" from an icy, dangerous climb to the summit of Snowdon at dawn in winter, featuring 60 clips of spectacular light and views.
Details:
Duration: 16 minutes 23 seconds
Clips: 60
File Size: 6.67GB
Resolution: 4K UHD
Description: This is an amazing collection of mostly drone footage, with some gimbal shots included, captured in January 2017 with a friend and colleague. We hiked up to the summit of Snowdon at "zero dark thirty" to reach the top by sunrise, carrying a ridiculous amount of what was then top-of-the-range drone gear. It was big, heavy, and cumbersome, flying like a sack of Snowdonia rocks, but it was cutting edge for the time. An icy, dangerous climb, filled with sweat and tears, followed, but we reached the summit in time for moments of absolute epicness that are rarely repeated.
About Snowdon and Crib Goch: Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is the highest mountain in Wales, standing at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and is located in Snowdonia National Park. It's an iconic peak, popular with hikers and climbers. Crib Goch is a knife-edge ridge on the Snowdon massif, considered one of the most challenging and notorious scrambles in the UK.
Footage Highlights:
Winter Summit Scenes: A layer of snow covers the summits, Crib Goch looks amazing, and red to gold light develops over the national park. The light is nothing short of spectacular, and there was no wind, making it truly magical. We spent hours flying and filming to top off the trip.
Epic Views: Features wide views, reveals, tilting shots, showing Snowdon summit, Crib Goch (the knife-edge ridge covered in snow), the summit looking magnificent in the morning light, the wider areas, and the surrounding lakes.
Historical Glimpse: The summit was empty! The mountain summit cafe, the rocks, the boulders, the snow, and the ice are simply brilliant.
Gimbal Footage: Includes gimbal footage from the top, even capturing a police helicopter just a few feet above the summit.
Ideal For: This is a bargain at just £1495. Some of the shots are nothing short of incredible, where the conditions just aligned and will probably never be repeated. Secure them now! I've since spent 200+ days filming in Snowdonia National Park, and this is still some of the best content I've captured. Those views are incredible.
Licensing: All footage is provided in 4K UHD with no extra fees for TV and film use. Full terms apply.
