Editorial Stock Footage
The editorial stock footage category contains sensitive and historically significant video from my library, from the raw tension of political protests to the impact of climate change on our landscape.
For journalists, documentary makers, and news editors, this stock footage archive provides immediate access to events that you cannot re-shoot. Every clip here is a visual record of the United Kingdom's social, environmental, and industrial history, captured with professional cinematic equipment, not phone cameras.
In an era of deepfakes and synthetic media, the provenance of authentic news footage is critical.
Every frame in this archive is independently filmed with a real camera, by a real person.
These are visual records of actual events, locations, and infrastructure, with no AI generation or synthetic content.
Footage in this category is typically intended for Editorial Use Only, meaning it is cleared for use in news, documentaries, and programming to illustrate matters of public interest. Full terms apply.

The Editorial Stock Footage Archive: Documenting the UK in Flux
My stock footage library included defining themes of modern Britain: social division, environmental crisis, the massive infrastructure projects reshaping the land, and the silent shifts in human behaviour. This is video footage that tells the story of who we are right now, and who we were, back then.
1. The COVID-19 Historical Archive: A Nation Paused
This is perhaps the most historically significant section of my stock footage library. I captured the UK during a moment that (hopefully) will never be repeated. This video footage is now a superb historical resource, essential for any documentary covering the 2020 pandemic era.
The Empty City (CP #40): Clip Pack #40 captures a surreal, haunting Birmingham City Centre during the height of the first lockdown. The footage shows major landmarks—Grand Central, the Bullring, Victoria Square—completely devoid of life. It documents the silence of a major economic hub paused in time.
The Human Reality (CP #39): The crisis wasn't just empty buildings; it was the change in daily routine. Clip Pack #39 (Pandemic Shopping) documents the social reality: long, socially distanced queues outside supermarkets, the panic-buying atmosphere, and the public adapting to new, rigid rules. This is the "human face" of the lockdown—an essential visual record of public compliance and anxiety.
2. Modern Society & Public Health: The Unscripted Human Condition
Beyond specific news events, my People category provides candid observations of modern social trends via street photography, or “street video”. This stock footage is perfect for documentaries addressing public health, technology addiction, the eccentric British character, normal daily life, or even the cost-of-living crisis.
The Digital Distraction Epidemic (CP #21): This large collection documents the pervasive impact of smartphones on public behaviour. I have extensive footage of people walking into traffic while texting, couples sitting in silence scrolling, and the "selfie culture" in public spaces. It is the definitive visual evidence for stories on social isolation and tech addiction.
Public Health & Consumer Culture: My archive includes high-quality footage of the UK's fast-food giants and retail parks (McDonald's CP #231, KFC CP #232, British Supermarkets CP #229). Used editorially, these clips are vital for illustrating reports on the obesity crisis, the cost of living, and ultra-processed food consumption.
The Commuter Grind: For stories on the "return to work" or urban density, I have captured the crushing weight of the commute in cities like Manchester and Birmingham, as well as the masked, silent discipline of Tokyo commuters (CP #101), offering a stark global comparison.
3. Social History & Political Unrest
This section documents the moments where public sentiment spills onto the streets, captured raw and unscripted.
The Cambridge Protests (CP #311): The Pro-Palestine Rally Timelapse pack is a high-value editorial asset. Filmed in October 2025 on the day of a ceasefire announcement, it documents the scale of student activism in Cambridge. It captures specific political signage ("Stop Arming Israel"), the use of smoke flares, and the visual legacy of the era: protestors wearing facemasks alongside keffiyehs.
Class & Culture: Clip Pack #284 documents the street scenes of Royal Ascot. Unlike the sanitised broadcast feed, this footage captures the "real" event—the crowds, the fashion, the drinking, and the chaotic joy (and fatigue) of the British public at play. It is a study in British class dynamics.
4. Environmental Crisis & Disasters
Climate change is no longer a theory; it is a visible reality in the UK. My drone units have documented the devastating impact of extreme weather events as they unfolded.
The Floods (CP #134, #49): I have extensive aerial documentation of the River Severn Floods. Footage shows the river bursting its banks at Bewdley and Stourport, submerging historic bridges and defences. Clip Pack #49 captures Worcester Racecourse and Cricket Ground completely underwater—a stark visual of sport surrendering to nature.
Pollution & Waste (CP #289, #294): The archive includes unflinching drone tours of the Thames Water Sewage Treatment Works and sewage outfalls near Chichester. In a time of national scrutiny over water quality, this raw industrial footage is a powerful editorial tool.
5. Infrastructure & Controversy
Major infrastructure and construction projects reshape the country and often spark debate. My video library tracks this transformation over the years.
HS2 Construction (CP #267): The controversial High Speed 2 rail project is the largest infrastructure endeavour in Europe. My archive tracks its progress through Birmingham, contrasting the massive earthworks and concrete pouring against the city skyline.
Immigration Infrastructure (CP #299): The UK Immigration Hotel Stock Footage provides rare, sensitive visuals of asylum seeker accommodation in Doncaster. These shots are essential for balanced reporting on migration policy and social housing.
