This is world-class Snowdonia drone stock footage and some of the best ever captured of this phenomenon. The perspective is captured high up on Y Foel Goch at the edge of the Glyderau range. Below, a majestic sea of clouds whirls like a bowl of soup, with the rugged mountains protruding like isolated islands. The drone captures this scene across the day:

• Iconic Peaks: The summits of Tryfan (917m), Glyder Fach (994m), Carnedd Dafydd (1044m), Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m), and Pen yr Ole Wen (978m) are all visible above the cloud layer. The Snowdon Massif (including Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, Crib Goch, and Y Lliwedd) completes the background.

• Cinematic Motion: The low shots capture the top of the cloud layer, emphasising the cloud whipping up like cotton wool or whipped cream, while high views provide crucial establishing shots.

• The Best View: The way Tryfan emerges from the cloud at dusk is something you have to see to believe—arguably the best drone shots of Tryfan ever captured.
