I’ve always been drawn to how water shapes a landscape. In a woodland, a stream is an artery, carrying nutrients, carving paths, and creating micro-ecosystems that teem with life. It’s a constant, flowing force, even as the seasons change, and it dictates so much of what flourishes around it. When I’m out filming, I don’t just see a stream; I see the entire interconnected web of life it supports.

From the smallest organisms clinging to damp moss on a fallen log, to the towering trees that draw sustenance from the water table, every element in the woodland is a testament to the stream's vital role. Insects flit above its surface, birds perch on branches overhanging it, and larger animals discreetly approach its banks for a drink.
