The air changes, becoming rich with oxygen "exhaled" by the trees, ready for me to breathe in deeply, taking in all that lovely CO2 that the trees are so diligently converting. It's a natural exchange, a powerful reminder of nature's endless cycle. The constant birdsong is a symphony, the gentle rustle of leaves a lullaby, and the vibrant colours of spring are a feast for the eyes. There’s a calming rhythm to the woodland, a quiet hum of life that instantly puts me at ease.
To then sit down, alone, amidst this natural theatre and prepare a meal, elevates the experience entirely. The simple act of cooking in such a pristine environment, with the aroma of wild garlic mingling with the earthy scent of the forest, creates an unforgettable sensory memory. It's a personal ritual that grounds me, stripping away the complexities of modern life and bringing focus to the simple pleasures.
