Behind the Screams: New 'Leave No Trace' Horror B-Roll & Eerie Footage Added!

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes when making a low-budget horror short film? Sometimes it’s chaos, sometimes it's hilarious, and sometimes you capture footage that’s genuinely unsettling! I'm thrilled (and slightly creeped out) to release Clip Pack #174 – Leave No Trace Scary Movie Stock Footage, a collection of B-roll from my own short horror film project, "Leave No Trace."

This film told the cautionary tale of a camper who didn't respect the woods... and let's just say the woods didn't respect him back. We had an absolute blast making it, battling dodgy masks, smoke machines, and the general absurdity of trying to look terrified on cue. The result is 25 clips (6m 26s, 2.56GB, 4K UHD assumed) of fantastic B-roll – it’s scary, eerie, spooky, occasionally silly, but packed with authentic atmosphere perfect for your own nightmare fuel productions. And it's yours for just £495.

What Nightmares Are Made Of (Literally, The B-Roll):

Clip Pack #174 gives you a raw look behind the curtain, including:

The Setup: Hiking into moody autumn woods (think orange/brown leaves everywhere), wild camping scenes with my old blue tent, making coffee pre-terror, reading maps oblivious to the doom ahead.

Driving Into Darkness: Some genuinely cool driving shots – close-ups on wheels turning, various POVs (through the windscreen, door glass, mirrors), navigating country lanes, and dramatically splashing through puddles (these took ages to get right!). Plus, parking up at the foreboding forest edge.

The Grim Aftermath: Disturbing scenes of fly-tipping, the destroyed blue tent ominously hung on a car, wellies implying a victim wrapped inside, broken tent poles, and even the cursed tea bag that supposedly kicked off the horror!

Woodland Terror: Atmospheric drone shots over the vibrant orange autumn canopy, POV hiking shots over wet leaves, and tense night scenes – nervously exiting the tent with a headtorch, lying scared inside waiting...

The Attack Sequence: Footage of a masked figure stalking and attacking the tent (slashing, ripping!), a terrifying clown-masked assailant climbing inside, whacking wildly with a stick as the tent collapses, and even shots implying a final, grim struggle. Proper nightmare stuff, captured amidst the fun of filmmaking!

The Library of Shadows: More Eerie, Spooky & Scary Footage!

Pack #174 is a fantastic resource, but it's just one part of the library's growing collection of atmospheric and unsettling footage. If you need to build suspense, create mystery, or just plain scare your audience, check these out too:

Clip Pack #154 - Horror Film B-Roll Stock Footage

This is the other B-roll collection from the same "Leave No Trace" short film series! With 43 clips (13m 56s), it offers an alternative or expanded selection of horrors. Expect more unsettling details: drone shots rising over an unconscious man in the woods, creepy hand movements, blood-covered hands, different angles on the mask-wearing antagonists (including that clown!), and multiple shots of the dramatic tent fire with smoke billowing through the trees. If Pack #174 doesn't have the exact creepy B-roll moment you need, this companion pack almost certainly will. It’s perfect for fleshing out sequences or finding that specific unsettling shot.

The Ethereal & Ominous Smoke Packs:

Smoke is one of the best tools for instantly creating atmosphere, and the library has several dedicated packs exploring its effect in woodlands, each with a different flavour:

Clip Pack #4 - Eerie smoke and sunlight woodland scenes: This pack (50 clips, 15m 12s) blends smoke with natural light and shadow in an autumn UK woodland. It creates visuals that are dramatic and spooky but grounded in a daytime setting. Think haunting silhouettes, dappled light cutting through the haze, smoke drifting over ferns and streams. It’s ideal for adding an eerie mood to horror films, TV programmes, or atmospheric sequences without plunging into total darkness.

Clip Pack #5 - Magical forest smoke and sunlight: Taking the smoke and light theme further, this substantial pack (49 clips, 27m 55s!) delivers a more surreal, dreamlike, even magical quality. Using silky smooth gimbal moves – twists, spins, dynamic compositions – it captures light and smoke bathing the forest in an enchanting, yet potentially strange and spooky, way. Perfect if you need visuals that blur the line between beautiful and unsettling.

Clip Pack #80 - Colourful Smoke in a Dark Eerie Woodland: Want something distinctly unnatural and chilling? This pack (13 clips, 3m 48s) introduces coloured smoke – vibrant blue, red, and orange – swirling through a dark, eerie woodland. Captured with smooth gimbal movements weaving around trees, the unnatural colours create an immediately ominous and mysterious presence, perfect for supernatural horror, fantasy, or music videos.

Clip Pack #165 - Eerie Smoke in the Woods at Night Stock Footage: Pure nightmare fuel. This pack (43 clips, 23m 54s) was captured during a solo (and frankly nerve-wracking) night shoot in a spooky woodland. Using high-sensitivity cameras, it features thick smoke clouds drifting between bare trees, sometimes with a touch of snow, creating a profoundly unsettling, ghostly ambiance. There's a real sense of isolation and being watched, reminiscent of the Blair Witch Project. The spinning shots and drifting movements enhance the disorientation. If you need truly scary, atmospheric night footage, this is it.

25 clips | 6 minutes 26 seconds | 2.56GB | 4K UHD

Dive into the unsettling world of woodland horror with Clip Pack #174! This is genuine B-roll footage captured during the creation of my own short horror film, "Leave No Trace" – the chilling tale of a camper who disrespected the woods and faced terrifying consequences. We had a blast making it (despite the scares!), and I'm happy to share this B-roll. It’s fantastic – scary, eerie, spooky, and sometimes even darkly silly. Perfect for adding authentic dread and narrative texture to your own horror or thriller projects.

Footage Highlights:

  • The Setup: Hiking into eerie autumn woods (brown/orange leaf-covered floor), wild camping scenes (my old blue tent), making coffee at home (before the terror!), map reading.

  • Atmospheric Driving: Very cool car driving scenes - wheel shots turning, driving POV (road view, door glass, mirror), navigating country lanes, splashing through puddles (these shots took a LONG time to plan and create!). Includes parking up at the forest edge.

  • The Aftermath & Clues: Fly-tipping scenes, my destroyed blue tent hung ominously on the back of a car, wellies suggesting a dead person wrapped up inside it, broken tent poles wrapped up too, and the infamous old tea bag on the car that started this horror chaos!

  • Woodland Dread: Drone shots over the autumn woodland featuring bright orange trees, hiking scenes, POV shots looking at wet feet walking on wet fallen leaves.

  • Night Terror: Getting out of the tent at night with a headtorch, looking scared; lying terrified inside the tent as darkness surrounds.

  • The Attack: A masked figure approaching, attacking the tent by cutting through it and ripping it, then proceeding to attack me (all good fun during filming!). Features a scary clown mask-clad person climbing into the tent – terrifying scenes! Includes shots of the figure whacking inside with a large stick (the tent is destroyed) and implying someone is being strangled inside the tent at night. Truly the stuff nightmares are made from!

  • Horror film B-roll and cutaways.

  • Thriller and suspense sequences needing atmospheric dread.

  • Music videos with dark, unsettling, or spooky themes.
